Job Description:
Quality Manager will be responsible for supporting the Product implementation of the CS quality management system. Primary content expertise will be focused on ISO 9001:2008 certification within a software and systems development environment. Duties include process development, tailoring, and implementation support, quality assurance and auditing, process improvement, measurement activities and project management mentoring. The successful candidate will have very strong communication (written, verbal, public speaking) skills and ability to work in a matrix environment and alone.

Duties:
  • Interfacing with senior management, promote achievement and performance improvement across the organization.
  • Support process development, tailoring, and institutionalization. Review technical and management system reports.
  • Develop guidance and recommendations of quality strategy development for software and services businesses relating to the tolling industry.
  • Define standards for ISO 9000 certification and set up process approach for ISO 9000.
  • Act as ISO9000:2008 management representative.
  • Mentor projects in complying with ISO/CMMI/Six Sigma standards.
  • Support quality assurance life cycle and take charge of the Corrective and Preventive Action process (managing customer complaints).
  • Submit process improvement requests (PIRs) and encourage team members to submit PIRs.
  • Analyze and report on project and organizational measurements (business unit view).
  • Training and/or assisting in the training of all personnel on quality-related procedures.
  • Developing and reporting on quality trend data.
  • Ensure all documentation meets ISO/Quality standards and tolling industry requirements.
  • Responsible for Internal and External Audits, ensuring they are carried out on a basis which confirms system integrity.
  • Ensure all standards, manuals and forms are current and relevant.
  • Establishes monitors, modifies and updates any and all policies, processes and procedures.
  • Develop strategies and procedures to improve project deliverables and support to customers.
  • Apply lean, six sigma, ISO methodologies and techniques to achieve cost reductions and productivity enhancements for the organization.
Qualifications Required:
 
Education:
Requires Bachelors, preferably Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience) Certified as a Quality Auditor  
Years of Experience:
  • 5+ years leading and/or participating in Quality Management efforts.
  • 5+ years of relevant IT experience using ISO 9000 or ITIL or CMMI and Six Sigma tools.
 
Skills:
This position requires excellent written and oral communication skills as well as excellent interpersonal skills. Strong management skills including organization, planning, directing a team, and controlling a project.
